    Stoke Ash White Horse

One of my top pubs because of their slick takeaway service during the lockdown. Efficient ordering and swiftly prepared food that has been reliably good. Nothing fancy but superb burgers, homemade pies, thrice cooked chips and homemade sticky toffee pudding. We've eaten this as takeaway and at the pub during Eat Out To Help Out. It's always been good. Very fair prices too!

You should go to Suffolk's newest deli and bistro at the Chilli Farm in the heart of Suffolk right on the main A140, an incredible oasis of food and deliciousness. Stop and make up a picnic from the vast array of goodies for sale, because it's all being made by the well known Earsham Street Cafe in Bungay. The team behind it are enthusiastic and friendly and the Portuguese Custard Tart, made with unwaxed lemons was scrummy - and what with free wifi and a great cappuccino - what better place to stop for a working tea break?

    Eye Eye

Had a little wander round the shops while my son played football and bought a whole chicken from this butchers. I've shown him how to joint it and make coq u vin with some of it, saving the rest for another meal. It was £6 - way more than a supermarket but we could certainly taste the difference. Grow my own veg but the sign on the shop opposite was tempting too as have just been on an apple hunt with my sister. Found lovely sweet wild ones that were just like Gala - apart from the holes.

Often go to this bakers in Eye, just the thing to warm up after a cold morning out but would like to have more time to go to the cafe down the road  - how is the coffee?
